TiviMate or Wemovexa IPTV: the TV and your other screens
TiviMate is a strong starting point for Android TV and remote-control viewing. Wemovexa IPTV may suit a configured IPTV source you want to open in a browser. Compare the viewing routine you actually need before changing a working setup.
Is the living-room TV your only screen?
TiviMate is designed for Android TV and remote-control navigation. Its official listing says it is not optimized for touch devices such as phones and tablets. As of September 2026, check the official TiviMate website and Armobsoft's Google Play listing for current details. A large-screen application is often the right starting point when your main routine is watching television from the sofa.
Wemovexa IPTV provides a web IPTV player for compatible browsers. Its usefulness also depends on the computer, phone or tablet you use alongside the television. That does not make every TV browser compatible: an older model may lack suitable video capabilities or handle certain controls poorly. Simply finding a browser in the TV menu is not enough to establish that playback will work.
Compare what matters from the sofa
| Criterion | TiviMate | Wemovexa IPTV web |
|---|---|---|
| Target platform | Android TV with remote controls | Compatible browsers across several device types |
| Browser required | No for the Android TV application | Yes for the web version |
| Installation | Install the application on a compatible device | Open the website; a separate Android application also exists |
| Xtream Codes | Advertised by the publisher | Supported through the configuration associated with the player |
| M3U | Advertised by the publisher | No general playlist importer in the web interface |
| EPG | Programme grid advertised | Current and next programmes when source data exists |
| Built-in proxy | Comparable HTTPS server relay not documented in the reviewed material | Relay for applicable requests and HLS manifest adaptation |
| Controls | Remote navigation is central to the product | Arrow, confirm and back navigation; test behavior on the TV |
M3U, Xtream and the EPG grid are listed in TiviMate's official description. This table does not attempt to cover every advanced setting in every release. In particular, two players offering a guide does not mean they offer the same schedule depth, navigation or customization.
When TiviMate is the better fit
If your main device is a compatible Android TV box and television is the focus, TiviMate is a natural choice. Give real weight to readability from your usual seat and the number of button presses needed to find a programme. An interface that looks comfortable at a desk can become awkward several metres away with only a remote control.
If you already choose what to watch from a programme grid, test that routine before migrating. Browse several channels, inspect what follows, return to the channel you were watching and check where focus lands. A feature that works more comfortably in your existing setup matters more than a theoretical feature checklist. Keep TiviMate if that routine better suits your living-room viewing.
When a browser addresses a different need
Wemovexa IPTV becomes useful when you want to reach a configured source from a computer or phone without installing a native application on that screen. Channels, Movies and Series provide separate ways to browse. Search, categories and favorites narrow the list, while history helps you find videos you have already opened. The interface offers English and French.
On iPhone and iPad this runs in the browser and can be added to the Home Screen; it is not a native iOS application. Android also has a separate APK application with playback possibilities that differ from the browser. Read the Android guide if your comparison becomes a choice between two installed applications on a TV box. A browser test does not automatically describe APK behavior.
Source setup is not interchangeable
Xtream support in Wemovexa IPTV lets the player use a source associated with its configuration. The public portal asks for a player identifier and recovery code. This is different from an interface where you freely add each playlist you want. Consult the Xtream Codes guide before assuming that credentials entered in another tool belong in that portal.
If you only have a general M3U file or URL, the current web player has no importer for it. A tool that accepts that input directly is more appropriate. HLS video can use the M3U8 extension, but playing that video does not establish support for importing a complete channel list. The M3U and M3U8 format guide helps you check this without changing your source.
Programme information, history and household habits
Wemovexa IPTV displays the current and next programme from available source data. If the provider does not document a channel, changing screens will not create its schedule. Start with a few channels whose programmes you know, then consult the EPG guide to understand missing entries. Do not treat this display as a promise of a comprehensive schedule covering several days.
The Resume button reopens a movie or episode from history. It does not guarantee returning to the last playback position or going back through a live broadcast. The web player stores history and favorites locally. Using the same access on a tablet does not guarantee that the living-room preferences will be copied. For a household sharing several devices, test each browser and device before relying on synchronization that has not been promised.
Test networking separately from remote navigation
The built-in proxy helps the web player receive applicable HTTP resources through an HTTPS page. It also rewrites HLS references so they follow the relay route. This does not replace the TV's decoder or prove that every source will play. An installed Android app operates in a different networking environment, so a different result is not a complete ranking of the two players.
- Stop previous playback to respect your source's connection limits.
- Try a standard-quality channel first, then a more demanding variant if the first works.
- From the sofa, test arrows, OK, Back, search and leaving full-screen mode.
- Return to the player after using another TV screen, then check focus and returning to the content you want.
- Record picture problems, network errors and navigation difficulties separately.
The Smart TV guide discusses television browser limitations, while the FAQ helps with diagnosis. You can keep TiviMate for the living room and use a web player on another screen, subject to the connections allowed by your own legal subscription. That complementary setup does not require an assumption that data transfers automatically between the two players.
Frequently asked questions
Which player should I favor on Android TV?
TiviMate is a sensible choice for everyday remote-control viewing. Compare readability, programme navigation and your usual controls on the actual device.
Does the web player work on every Smart TV?
No. Video capabilities and controls vary by browser and model. Testing the particular TV remains necessary.
Can I import an M3U as I would in TiviMate?
The current Wemovexa IPTV web interface has no general M3U importer. Check your source's compatibility and configuration before switching.
Do favorites and history follow me across screens?
The web player stores them locally. No automatic synchronization or migration from TiviMate is promised.
