Watch your IPTV in a Smart TV browser
The Wemovexa IPTV interface is built for the living-room screen: large targets, a clearly visible focus ring, and everything driven by the arrow keys and OK. Built-in TV browsers still have their limits, and this guide goes through them platform by platform.
Which browser on which TV
- Samsung (Tizen): the Internet app, in your apps list.
- LG (webOS): the Web Browser app.
- Android TV / Google TV (Sony, TCL, Philips TVs and streaming boxes): most models ship without a browser. Rather than a third-party browser that copes badly with a remote, install the Wemovexa IPTV Android app (APK file), which is designed for boxes — see below.
- Other TVs: an older built-in browser may be unable to play HLS streams through JavaScript. A recent Android stick or box is then the safest route.
What was designed for the remote
The player works as a "10-foot" interface: every button, channel row and movie card is at least 48 pixels tall and gets a clearly visible focus ring. The arrow keys move focus to the nearest item in that direction, OK selects, Back closes the open detail panel or overlay. In live full screen, ▲ and ▼ switch channels (Channel + and Channel − are recognised too when the browser passes them on); during a movie, ◀ and ▶ jump back or forward five seconds. Wemovexa IPTV also understands the raw key codes some older box browsers send without a key name.
Entering the PIN code and MAC address in Settings uses an on-screen numeric or hexadecimal keypad, so the TV's virtual keyboard is not needed. Only searching for channels or movies brings up the system keyboard.
Quirks to be aware of
The Back button
On some TV browsers the Back key is captured by the browser itself, which goes to the previous page instead of passing the key to the player. If that happens, use the ✕ button on movie and series panels and selection pop-ups, or ✕ Close in the full-screen player controls — they can always be reached with the arrows.
LG's pointer remote
LG's Magic Remote shows a cursor. The player never relies on hovering: as soon as you press an arrow, focus navigation takes over. If the cursor gets in the way, leave the remote still for a few seconds.
Codecs and memory
TVs decode video on dedicated hardware: H.264 is supported everywhere and H.265/HEVC often is, but the browser doesn't always expose every format the TV can play in its own apps. If a channel stays black, pick another quality (FHD, HD) of the same channel. On the memory side, lists load in blocks of 100 items and movies and series are only downloaded when you open their tab, to spare modest hardware.
Automatic standby
Many TVs switch off after a few hours without a button press (an auto power-off option under general or eco settings). If the picture always cuts out at the same point, turn that option off.
Useful Wemovexa IPTV settings
- Resume the last channel at startup (Settings › Playback): the last channel you watched starts straight away, just like a set-top box.
- Langue / Language: Auto, Français or English, in case the TV browser reports an unexpected language.
- Favorites: starring a channel adds it to the ★ Favorites filter, handy for flicking between a handful of channels.
Android TV boxes: use the app
On an Android box or an Android TV set, the Wemovexa IPTV Android app carries the same interface, plays streams directly (no HTTPS relay needed) and uses Android's native video player for live channels. The download link is in the player's Settings › About; you will need to allow installs from unknown sources. Details in the Android guide.
Troubleshooting
- Blank or very slow page: the browser is too old; update the TV firmware or use a box.
- Message about a blocked HTTP stream: the built-in proxy relay is off; the button shown turns it back on.
- No current programme: see EPG TV guide.
- No channels: check your access on Xtream Codes web player or online M3U player.
For a computer connected to the TV over HDMI, follow the Windows PC guide or the Mac guide instead. More questions: FAQ.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Wemovexa IPTV on a TV without a keyboard?
Yes. Everything works with the arrows, OK and Back; PIN and MAC are typed on an on-screen keypad. Only search uses the TV's virtual keyboard.
The Back button closes the browser. What can I do?
Some TV browsers capture it. Use the ✕ button on detail panels and pop-ups, or "✕ Close" in the full-screen player controls.
Browser or app on Android TV?
The Android app is the better choice: it plays streams directly and uses Android's native video player for live channels.
